Registration for the Club Program is OPEN through August 31st.

The Gretna Basketball Association strives to provide opportunities for all Gretna area youth to participate in basketball. Our GBA programs consist of different levels of competition that are both a feeder program for Gretna high schools (GHS & GEHS), and an opportunity for all Gretna students to participate in and gain a lifelong love of the game of basketball.

GBA Club Program Overview
The GBA Club Program is available for area youth living in the Gretna School District.
Registration opens August 1st each year and
players are assigned a team by division subject only to coach and sufficient player availability by division. 
There are no tryouts for the GBA Club program.

The program is designed for players still working to build their fundamental skills and understanding of the game.  It is also a good fit for players involved in multi-sports or activities as the time commitment is less than is required for the GBA Select Program. Players who tried out for the GBA Select Program, but were not selected for a team, declined a team offer or decided there were not ready for the requirement commitment are welcome to register for the GBA Club Program.  

The Club Program season runs from October to February.

GBA Club

1.     Teams are formed via program registration, subject only to coach and sufficient player availability by division.

2.     Teams will be provided up to one team practice per week.

3.     Players will have access to a once-a-month individual skill session conducted by Going Vertical.

4.     Team/coach will choose to participate in one or both league sessions and selected tournaments.

5.     Club Program Costs (uniforms are in addition to this expense):

Tournament allotment is based upon whether the team/coach decide to participate in both league sessions ore only the Winter session.
