Gretna Basketball Association

About our Club

The Gretna Basketball Association strives to provide opportunities for personal growth and development of youth athletes while promoting positive influences, confidence and the desire to excel on and off the court. The GBA is dedicated to educate and motivate each participant while encouraging teamwork, sportsmanship and fun through the spirit of basketball competition.

The GBA offers two athletic divisions for Gretna Public Schools students, and a yearly competitive tournament open to area teams.

Fundamental Program:
The Fundamental League is a Gretna area only league and is for all players, grades K-4. There are two sessions in the Fundamental League: Fall and Winter.

GBA Teams:
GBA Teams are formed of Gretna area youth who participate in Omaha area leagues and tournaments.  GBA offers a Select Program, in which players must tryout for a team, and Club Program, in which players do not need to tryout.

Yearly Tournament:
The GBA hosts an annual tournament the weekend before Thanksgiving, where teams from all over Omaha and surrounding communities compete.
